This past weekend we were in Long Beach and decided to take the kids to
see the Lorax...and can I just say it was the sweetest movie.
I especially love the "UNLESS" rock and plan to make one in my pottery class because the meaning and phrase behind it is so incredibly Perfect for anyone at any age...I won't spoil. it for you - just go watch...
anyway, recently in preparation of my Spring Boutique I created these
Easter trees - I made some Halloween & Christmas trees awhile back
and thought Spring needed their own set of trees
so here they are:
Cute right?
when my kids saw these they automatically
thought of the trees in Lorax...really wistful and dreamy - sweet - I know.
I made these using the following items...
paper machie cones
yarn with varied colors & adhesive
The easiest way I found to do them is to paint on some tacky glue
up to a point then wrap the yarn around and over lapping to give it
some dimension...I added some pom poms to the top and some
glitter to areas to make them a bit more fantasy like.
Here are the three I made...I am trying to figure out if I should add something else to these or leave them alone...
these would be fun to add to a table or centerpiece for Spring or Easter
I am linking these up to the following parties:
Hope your having a crafty day!
