Bunny multiplier

I just love times like this.
I visited our local thrift store recently and came upon this LARGE bunny pin. {right one above}
It was a whopping 49 cents and just had to pick it up. I thought 2 things could happen with this...
either I would make a larger version for a wreath type idea or make them smaller and use them as intended - as pins. So I went with the ladder...

Here is an up close shot of the original...

nice but the flowers were a bit much and the puff balls a bit dingy..

I gotta share something with you and that is that back in the day {like 10 years ago} these straw hats were super easy to find in all sizes - well Michael's and Joanne's no longer carries these - at least the small ones and not out here in SoCal...so I had to order these off  ETSY and well after shipping they came out
to 1.10 each...I bought 5.00===I was going for an easy project that my girls could make to earn some money at my recent Spring Boutique...so I had them marked at 5.00 each...I know high right? but I figured what the heck...

Well I gotta tell you that we sold 3 of them and they were a huge hit. Yeah...Love those re-do's that work out so well. The girls were happy and so was I  - not a bad investment on the original 49 cents.

Here is my first Spring Project...Hope your Spring projects are popping up and multiplying.
Have a great day
