Wow - I was gone for a whole week to Colorado and did NO crafting.
Not only was I missing it but I was drowning in ideas and DIDN'T write any of it down.
Luckily, for me this project stayed with me and I gotta tell you this also came out of necessity.
I love WREATHS...don't we all. But can you imagine trying to store a years worth of wreaths?
FORGET ABOUT IT!
So I came up with a solution...WREATH ACCESSORIES or JEWELRY!
I found these straw wreaths at a thrift store in Craig Colorado (on our way home)
and decided to make something I could keep out all year long just adding
seasonal ACCESSORIES - so to make things simple and appealing to the eye I used BROWN BURLAP
to cover up the wreaths...and made a big cream burlap BOW that is PERMANENT
Then I added some fun little flowers - that I cut out of fleece freehand and just
added hot glue to the centers and then layered them until they were as poofy as I liked!
I made an Easter egg out of fleece and used fun ric rak to decorate it...then to finish the whole
wreath off I used some yellow felt and cut out a banner for the top - best part is I used
thumb tacks and added some buttons to cute-ify them and make the banner removable too.
blurry I know....
But the best part of this whole thing is that I can whip up cute and fabulous accessories and add to these 2 wreaths....JUST these 2 wreaths....
Here is the magic of it all....
Clever right? I added velcro to both the wreath & the egg-cessory :) for easy change ups!
I am thrilled with this idea...and can't wait to start thinking up more fun embellishments for my NEW wreaths. Let's see what's the next Holiday??? Mother's Day & Memorial Day...
Oh wow...I will share my future accessories with you all...
Boy see what a little vacation will do for the old crafting mojo...LOVE
Hope you are having some brilliant ideas too.
