Be Merry

OMG - really Christmas is only 26 days away...
yowzers...gotta get my shopping started.
I haven't even decorated the house yet...this weekend
for sure. Been so busy with vacation & shows that I hadn't even
had the chance to bring out the goods...
One thing I have been able to do is make some Christmas cards and
here is one of them.

Cute right?
another sweet image from CDAC that I got last month...
But am so glad that I waited until today to use it. It is so
cheery - wouldn't you say?
Used my copics to color her in and some stickles to add some sparkle
and some flower soft for the dress trim & on the gingerbread men...
added only a few embellishments and tah-dah cute Christmas card.

I am linking this up to the following challenge:

Joy

Sending you a little bit of Joy
After feeling pretty bad the last couple of days
I am glad to say that I am feeling lots better...even the cough is
almost gone - YEAH!!

I felt crafty today so I made up this sweet card.

isn't this the sweetest little bear ever?
Once again I got this image thru my CDAC - progressive challenge...
I think it looks like a happy card -especially
with that striped paper I chose. Used my copics to color him up
and added some fun little flower embellishments to finish it up.

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far...

Frosty

and then some...chilled to the finger tips is more like it!
Not complaining just saying....

I am in Oregon right now and boy is it feeling a bit chilly here.
We came out here for Thansgiving vacation to visit and driving up to Seattle
Wednesday to see my aunts & cousins....so can't wait.

We may even see some snow here this week up in the mountains...
so in honor of our trip I made a few snowman cards...
here is the first card.

that yellow piece was cut with my paper trey dies and as you can see I
stamped the sentiment on the wrong part of the tag and had to fit it in
on the front of the card so that's why it is sideways...but overall I am digging it.

Here is to making winter memories here in the Northwest

Hope you have a great start to your week.

Red & white

OMG - I can NOT believe that it is almost time for the red & white!
The big man himself - the guy in the white beard.
Christmas is about a month away - yikes!!!

So in honor of the holiday I thought I would throw together
a fun digi inspired card
Cute right?
I wish I knew who it was by but it is from my stash from last year.
Used my copics to color it and added a fun punched black border...
kept it pretty simple.

Blue Bear

Yowzers - took a walk tonight and boy was it chilly ---
I am feeling quite happy with the WINTER weather we are getting here.
Makes me feel all cozy and warm...
I made a sweet card using another free progressive image from
CDAC -  and I am loving the look of this card and again
I have leaned or fallen into a monochromatic scheme...
what's the deal? I seem to go that direction alot!!!

What do you think?

I used my copics to color this sweet polar bear and added some washi tape
to the edges to hold up the image and some basic grey papers & ribbon.

Totally fitting my mood and LOVE for the weather around here.

I am linking this up to the progressive challenge over at CDAC

Have a great day!

Almost turkey Time

Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving already?
Yikes...and then the countdown to Christmas begins...
wow this year has really flown by...fast!
I am busy getting ready for another show  so I will be
in and out here and next Sunday we leave for Portland for
a mini vacation - can't wait we are planning on going to
Seattle (my all time favorite city next to Portland) and visiting family and friends...
I have been making some Thanksgiving cards to give when we leave next week.

Here is one using that cute Thanksgiving turkey I have used already but in
a totally different way...
what do you think?

Sorry for the brightness it's early and still dark here.

I used some fun background papers, used my copics to color Tom Turkey in
and even used my sewing machine

You can see the sewing on the left edge it's holding a small piece of
punched scrap paper and then added my cool prima flowers & a button.

I love the way it came out and who cares that I used the image before -
that's the beauty of digi images...

I am linking this card up to the following challenges:
anything challenge- stitches real or faux
digital tuesday  - anything digi
the queens royal digi - digi fall or thanksgiving
aud sentiments - thank you or thanksgiving

I hope you have a great week...

Hello Friend

Telling you that I am so feeling the shabby groove right now.
Lovin' the way this card came out and have been having fun
playing with my paper trey stamps.

And what do you know but I drifted towards a monochromatic theme again too...
Happyy with the overall look...

Sending prayers to all our American veterans - and thanks for fighting for our country.

Have a great weekend...

wednesday SHARE

I thought I would try my hand at having a a linky party...
it'll officially begin next week - but I thought I'd like to call it
Wednesday Share!
It is open to anything you are proud of that you accomplished this week...
no challenges no gimmicks, no PRIZES - just a place to share something of yours thats cool. And hopefully meets some new friends.
wednesdays is my longest day around here and I always feel like I am half full
so I thought what  great pick me up for the middle of the week.

So here is a sampling:

Got those Halloween photos finally down on a page - YEAH me!
I used to eat, sleep and drink, scrapbooking but sometimes these large
12 x 12 pages take so much time and patience. I don't usually have a lot of that...
I used a double sided halloween paper (last years)easy
and was able to add photos to both sides to complete my layout.
I also printed my photos 3 x 5 instead of 4 x 6 - I like them that
size so I can add more photos to a page....and I left the whites of the
photos attached to the pics so I didn't have to add mats...genious? I think so!

close ups!

and added a little journaling on a tag. Easy peasy.

O.k. so there you go...think about joinging me next week.

Have a great day!

Birthday anyone?

I was feeling a bit shabby this week and decided to just
throw some stuff together to make a quick birthday card...
Love when things look thrown together - kind of my style & taste.
gotta tell you - there is alot going on here and I love it!

Love the paper which is by Prima, added a crocheted flowers
used my papertrey ink die & banner stamp for the label
and a bird punch from Stampin Up!  handmade tea stained stamp and some seam binding
really easy and the colors are not the usual ones I would put together but it works
dontch'a think?

I took of the crocheted flower and think I like it best without it.

Here's wishing you a wonderful Tuesday...

my card works for the following challenges:
the play date cafe - grey pink & yellow
for fun challenge- special b-day card
abc- challenge - crochet flowers

Mellow Yellow

First of all Happy Belated Halloween

Yesterday was a blur...did you know that we didn't even get around to carving our pumpkin
this year. How sad is that? But we did have fun...
Not only did we trick or treat last night but my daughters god-father got the kids
a pumpkin pinata...extra large and extra full...

they destroyed it in a matter of minutes...where so they get the energy at 9:00 p.m. at night???

they even played after all that...
here my crepe paper mummies &
our little pumpkin

So wow - how quick we go from one holiday into the next...
Now it's time to prepare for Thanksgiving...and then...
Christmas - oh won't life slow down for a bit???

Here is another monochromatic card I created using some stamped
images I found while cleaning out my studio...
I love the mellow yellow with the pop of deep gold

Nice right?

The images are stampin up and the sentiment is from Paper Trey ink and I
used a Martha Stewart craft punch for the gold CS trim.

Well hope you had a great Halloween
now it's time to clean up and try and unload some of the CANDY we scored...
way too much for my three.

I am linking my card up to the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesday - inspirational photos
anita be stampin - anything goes

Have a great Day!
