Thankful

I am so very thankful for quite a bit in my life.
Mostly my family & close friends but my position in life as well.
Afforded to me by my husband who let's me stay home.
I hate the word LET but really he could be a jerk and force me to get a job
or nag me about money and guilt me into getting a job.
But luckily he gets me...

He also gets my addiction to crafting and creating.
I am always busy making "SOMETHING" and my "STUFF"
is all over the place usually...but he doesn't nag. YEAH for me.

anyway I am also grateful for my silly kids and the close friends they make
me happy and they "GET ME" too. LOVE that.

I am thankful for all of you too. I love that you come and visit...
I cherish my bloggy buddies, although they are few I cherish you all.

I made a card with another image from CDAC their progressive challenge...
isn't he cute?

I actually made this card. I used CS and folded it instead of
a pre-made white card - yeah me!
Inside the card it says YOU...I am going to add the word OF

well just wanted to take a minute and share what I am thankful for right now!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday -

This card will work for the following challenges:
CDAC - progressive challenge
simon says stamp - anything
scrapbook sisters - anything

Feeling like Fall...

Wow - the weather her in SoCal is finally feeling like FALL. It is bright and sunny but
cool...thank goodness because last weekend it was like 90 degrees - ridiculous I say!

We are off to the pumpkin patch tonight and they are excited.

I am in total FALL MODE - I have been making cards and halloween decorations for awhile NOW.
Here is a card I made with a super sweet image from the CDAC continuous challenge.

cute right?
The paper is actually from basic grey Christmas line (last year) added a strip of green CS
and some cute red trim sticker to the edge and colored the Squirrel and acorn with my copics.

I am feeling very festive...the weather really has that effect on me.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

My card works for the following challenges:

Sweet treats

It's almost Halloween. Costumes are bought...and have been worn once already

I have a Geisha girl, a cute bumble bee and franken-baby!

We have a soccer game this weekend and it's my turn for snacks
so I wanted to make something really cute to give to
the kids...
I made a hang able tag...

Used some basic grey paper and a halloween digi from last year, used
my copics to color her in and sewed down the sides...I punched a hole in the top of the tag
this piece of paper is 12 inches long and 3 inches wide and just folded it up part way.

Then I added a kool-aide packet and some pixi sticks...
cute treat right?

But I may have bitten off more than I can chew since there are 11 girls on
our team and 4 little boys on my sons team...that's alot of coloring....oy-vey!

This works with the following challenges:

mims challenge - orange, black & halloween
abc-challenge - b for BOO
for fun challenges - halloween
freshly brewed challenges- spooky sweet treats

Hope you have a fabulous day - tonight we are off to the Pumpkin Patch...

Just had to share

It has been a busy week and I am happy to report that this little girl here
just turned 9 - on the 20th...we had breakfast at Norm's and she had
an ice cream waffle treat after her breakfast...yummers.

We also hit the pumpkin patch...which by the way can I just let out my complaint...
it was about 85' degrees with about 80% humidity - ick and crowded like no ones business...

did catch my girls in the garden of sunflowers - can't tell by this photo but
they were balls of sweat here and dirty...icky!!!

later on we went to John's incredible pizza and she invited a friend and
the rest of the peeps were her immediate family. But she was happy
and we had fun...

Here is a NO stamp card I made with my pretty girl in mind. I have to tell you
a secret about these cards...on another day but it was a simple & oh so quick
idea...you'll love it...

I hope you had a great week...I am finally ready to get back into the
swing of things. Hope you didn't lose faith in me and hope you will be back again soon.

Such a bad Girl

Gosh It sure has been a long while since I posted but I am up to my
eyeballs in paper, stickers, ribbon & paint...I am putting the final
touches on all my goodies for my big show this weekend. I am
excited and nervous. I always worry that my stuff won't sell or that I
don't have enough stuff...anyway I always do good so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Please forgive me for not posting more often this week but I will be back
with a vengeance next week,,,here is a small sampling of the items I have
been making lately...

Have a great weekend and I do so appreciate you stopping by.

Oh Frankie Baby

Thursday already...OMG - this week is flying by.
I am getting kind of anxious since I have about 7 days left until my big show and
well still lots of stuff left to do.

I did however have time to make another fun
Halloween inspired card...

Isn't he cute?
I used literally scraps for the background...some of last years
spooky embellishments (cauldron & bat) and another fun image
from my monthly CDAC challenge...
That white looking accent on his jacket & bolts are actually a silver gelly roll pen.
I think it looks cool in the photo..real simple yet makes a statement.

Well back to the crafting table...
Have a great day

This works for the following challenges:
scrap-creations - halloween
cupcake craft - halloween
abc - challenge - anything goes

It's almost time...

Time for Halloween that is.
My kids are full swing into figuring out their costumes for the big day.
I have one skeleton, a bumble bee and the bride of Frankenstein...
interesting mix right?

I have been up to  my ears in Halloween goodness here - actually
it looks like a tornado of Orange, black & purple flew through my house
and just threw stuff in every corner...the tornado's name  TINA (me)
yes I feel like a totally out of control person right now with my home in disarray
but I do have so much to show for the mess....

One of the things I am trying to get done are cards...I have been drifting in and out
the card making feel lately. But I made up some of the cutest cards ever with some images
from CDAC---it's that month long challenge I spoke about previously.
Here is the first image - which I think is sweet enough...
I used last years MM halloween papers and my copics for coloring and some
stickers from last year too. Do you think people can tell things are last years?
Hope not. I have another fun card to share using another fun image from CDAC...
hopefully your home and life is NOT chaotic and moving smoothly for you.
Hey maybe you have a secret you can share with me and let me know how you handle it all.

this card works for the following challenges this week.
abc-challenge - a for anything goes
one stitch at a time - anything goes
stampin sisters in christ - anything goes
cdac - monthly challenge

Hope you have a wonderful day

Feeling like FALL

Loving days like today
It was dark & cold & RAINY

it was a remarkable day! I adore being rained IN...especially when my
sweet hubs is with me - makes my day go so much smoother...we laugh
and "GET THINGS" done...I love him {bashfully blushing}

I was able to make up some cards and here is one that I feel represents my TRUE LOVE
for this season. I think I am especially looking forward to Thanksgiving..cuz
this year I am going out of town and am anxiously eagerly awaiting the trip.

I used some fun FALL papers and punched the edges on the solids to make
a mat - then used my copics to add color to the stamped image & an orange bow.

the colors are wonderfully beautiful.
Hope you are enjoying the weather in your neck of the woods.

Happy Wednesday

I am linking this up to the following challenges this week:

Spooky tag collection

I am a big fan of Tim Holtz and have purchased & WON quite a nice collection of goodies
from his line -I even own his Compendium book & it's signed by him...so then what is my
issue? Why don't my tags and projects come out looking like his or even close to his...
Probably because I am NOT him...so of course my projects come out like TINA'S art...

Example #1...a Halloween tag
Used his tags, used his tamps and his paper (31) and a mask (so him)
and while I love this tag - there is just something so NOT TIM...
I am such a Tim wanna be. But can you blame me - his work is AMAZING.

What I am good at is basic stamping and I love making seasonal tags.
They are easy and fun....gotta love that!

Neat right?
Is there are crafter you admire? Maybe it's Martha Stewart, maybe Heidi Swapp...there are so many
cool crafters out there - who's your pick?

Hope your weekend has been spectacular.
