Super Simple Snowman

Under the category of KEEPING THINGS SIMPLE
I decided to try my hand at some seriously simple cards.

I got a bunch of fun images from My Grafico?
(gosh I am sorry if I named the wrong co.)

I loved the snowman and while I wanted to use the image on my card -
with a white background it was just to big! So I decided
that I would color him up and cut him out and use the image alone.
I love how the image makes up the whole card. Other than the
sentiment There is NOTHING else to it.
The base CS is embossed and has small white snowflakes on it
hard to see but they are there.

Cute eh?
Simple but sweet.

Hope you had a great weekend.Just finished my 2nd show of the season and did super!
see ya tomorrow.

making really simple BUT pretty cards. But just keeping the image
and the surroundings very simple. I like it alot.
It comes across as sweet I think.

O.k. so please play along with us this week and you could win
5 images from PINK CAT STUDIO

Hope you have a great weekend.

So thankful for you

those we most appreciate and hopefully you KNOW
how much it means to me when you come by and visit me
here on this little blog of mine.
Even for those of you that don't leave comments...it's pretty great of you
to stop in from time to time...So
THANK YOU very much

This weeks challenge over on the CSAYL blog was to make a Thanksgiving or Christmas card with stripes...
Our sponsor this week is In Style stamps
she gave us some really cute images to work with and I chose this
cute pilgrim girl.

The sentiment is mine and I know it's hard to see but the background paper is lined (striped) and then of course the corrugated cardboard...stripes....
Left it pretty simple but wow what a card. dont'cha think?

Please be sure to visit the CSAYL blog
and play along with this weeks challenge - you may be the winner
of 4 IN STYLE digi stamps...

Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT and see their wonderful creations...

This is also works for the the following challenges:
if the shoe fits - DIY embellishment (corrugated cardboard)
hodgepodge shop - thankful card with leaves

Harvest of PLenty

please excuse the caddy-wampus-ness of the photo - ick!

Good Thursday morning to ya.
Can't believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner...this
year has really flown by.
This will be the first year that we are spending Thanksgiving out of town
and not having a  homemade turkey. We'll be spending it with Grams (abuelita) in El Paso
so it's out for a turkey dinner somewhere over there.
Weird - not sure if I'll like doing that but I guess there's no clean-up right?

O.k. so this cute card - which I may add I am super proud of the coloring.
I think it has a bit of depth to it - that is so rare for me.
Coloring with copics is usually hit or miss...

Anyway the image is from my grafico
and the sentiment is mine...I made this card to work for these 2 challenges:

craft your passion - double something on your card (my pearls)

it's windy here - like Dorothy in Kansas windy...

Hope your day is beautiful

Rainy days

I know - she is a real doll right?
This card seems to fit our weather here in So Cal right now...a bit rainy and cold but with a hint of sun...I absolutely LOVE LOVE this kind of weather...

I like these 2 colors together yellow and red - great dont'cha think?
This sweet image is form the wonderful My Grafico...you really should check out the goodies they have in their store...fun stuff for sure.

I sure hope the rest of you are having a great start to your week and hope that your weather is bright and crisp. Have a great night.

This cute card works out really well for
stampin sisters in Christ - weather challenge
dutch dare card challenge - clean  and simple

Happy Monday

Good Monday Morning to you
Just wanted to take a minute and share
a quick and easy Christmas gift you could make for your
co-workers.
A yearly calendar for their desk or cubicle.

You'll need chipboard (or a cereal box)
some scrapbook paper scraps, adhesive and some ribbon
and calendars of course.

First you cut some chipboard about
2 1/2 by 4 inches big and cover it with
SCRAPS of paper
both front and back sides so it looks pretty

sorry for the photo mix up - blogger is NOT cooperating.
and punch 2 holes with your crop-o-dile in the corners
for ribbon hanging.

then you add the calendar anywhere on the front of the chipoard piece

You can make up quite alot in a little while and for not much money

Then you can go to town with the EMBELLISHING
How about adding some flowers or a sweet sentiment that
reminds them how you feel about them all year long.
Quick, simple and cheap BUT HOMEMADE...
nothing could be better.

Have a great Day

P.S. if you need some of these calendars I have them in my shop - great price too.

traditional? NOT

Way out there...I totally agree.
But I thought this cute lil' angel needed paper to match...
Hey and besides this could work for a cute little girl
in your life as a Christmas card, right?

This is image is from My Grafico and the sentiment is
from the dollar bin --- I used glitter glue on her halo, shoes and sash
and fun flock by Martha Stewart on her wings and dress trim...

I think she looks super cute...oh and best part is this works for the following chhallenges:
abc-challenge - G-glitter
Belli Challenge - Flocking or flower soft

So can you believe that it's almost Christmas - surreal

sleep tight
