Happy Saturday

What a different color combo for a
Christmas Card right?
This weeks challenge over on the CSAYL blog was
a color challenge and these were
our 2 colors...
I thought it was going to be a task I
couldn't handle but turns out I should
trust my creative instincts more.
I love my POINSETTA stamp and have used
it lots. I figured in Fairy land Christmas
trees and flowers WOULD be purple and pink
and everything WOULD shimmer with
silver flakes so why not in OUR world.
I am very happy with my card.

Please take a minute and check out the other DT members cards and leave some love for them - some pretty amazing
cards have been made for this weeks challenge.

O.k. well I have some cool CO-WORKER gifts to share with you coming up.
Have a safe and fun Halloween.

Shake a little love

I wanted to share a custom order
I received at my show this past weekend.
It's an explosion box for a newly married couple.

The title was a request from the aunt who placed the order.
They were married in Cabo and she requested a
beachy theme...
spot on eh?

added various words and phrases
that represent moments of the ceremony

I love the way it came out and hope that the couple loves
it too.
What a conversation piece for the couple for sure.

Thanks Pam

Death by Clutter

Not dead but oh so close...
I swear I feel SO closterphobic
I was drowning in this mess
I have a regular studio space in my garage
in the above photo I had my hubby bring in an extra table for me to work on

But when I am preparing for a show
I tend to spill into the rest of the house
and by the "rest" I mean ALL of the house
this photo (above) I have stuff on the floor behind the table hubby brought in

This is the view behind the couch where
dear hubby put the table for me to work on

Here is SAID table
cluttered to the MAX
I have my glue dots (a must have)
my new stamps by PAPER TREY ink
my box of sticker/chipboard embellishments
all of which are used to create cards and mini scrapbooks
oh and the one thing that gets me through
moments (weeks) like this
my VENTI MOCHA
a sweet gift from my hubby...
SO I have started clearing away this mess and hopefully
will adopt a better way of working in an
ORGANIZED manner in my next venture in the craft fair season (3 weeks away)

well I am pleased to be participating in this weeks
blog challenge...
Hope you play too...

I do

Cute card wouldn't you say?
I got this image from My Grafico
and colored it with my copics and I think
it came out pretty fabulous. I love all the
shades of pink flowers I colored with and left it
"real" simple. Didn't even have room for a sentiment
but decided to stamp over my cake base
and add the
"CONGRATULATIONS"
Anway, I am happy with it.
Wanted to share photos from my show on Saturday
but of course didn't take any.

I did really well and had a lot of repeat customers - love when that happens. I met a bunch of new folks too. Love that part too.
The weather was brisk and began to rain right at 5 p.m.  end of day...thank the Lord for that favor...
Did well but not near as well as last year...
means I need to change up a few things for next year.

I hope to be back to blogging regularly - I have lots to share.

sending you big hugs

Birthday Wishes

We just celebrated this sweet little girls 8th birthday
She really lucked out and we have been celebrating her birthday since
Friday - dinner @ joe's crab shack
Saturday...drive-in & a sleep over
sunday - Knott's berry farm
Wednesday (her actual birthday) dinner at John's Incredible pizza
We got her the usual stuff
and I made her my usual "homemade card"

Isn't she a cutie?
I hate to say it but I used up all my space and had no room
for a stamped sentiment...so I added a rub-on and some letter stickers.
What do you think?

I have missed you and hope that life has been treating you well.
I hope you continue to bare with me...since I have been prepping for
a BIG SHOW this weekend - I have left my sweet little piece of blog land and
have found no extra time....but I have lots to show you.

I am off to visit you all and leave you all some love...

Elf Magic

Cute eh?

Love this cute little elf...and she's from Pink Cat Studio
I used this cute elf from PCS for this weeks challenge over on the CSAYL blog

I kept the card fairly simple mainly because the image was so large..
I am not a computer savvy chick...so I printed this puppy out and left it
the same size...didn't crop it - duh.
Should've would've could've

Please stop by the csayl blog and check out what everyone on the design
team made. Really great stuff...if you join along and link up your card
You have the chance to win 5 PCS images to play with.

Here's wishing you the best weekend ever and hopefully
you have been playing along and have a stash of Christmas cards
ready to be given out to loved ones.

You still out there?

Yeah, that's me INCOGNITO...haa haa hee hee
trying to hide from the shame of not posting regularly.
gosh I am feeling quite lost here.
I am in the midst of huge preparations for a big show I have in less than a week.
I am worried that I won't have enough stuff, worried that I am spending
too much time on stuff that won't sell, worried that my stuff is really not worthy of
purchasing. Really though I go through this every time I have a show...
I know I will be fine and that I will do well.

But I miss you.
I miss making cards and am on a mission to sit and make JUST
cards tomorrow and POST post POST!

I hope you are all well and please don't lose faith and stop visiting.

sending hugs your way

Hey Boo

{gasp}

Isn't this the sweetest card
I adore all things vintage and did one of those
"USE SCRAPS ONLY" type of cards...
I pieced up the front of the card with Basic Grey halloween papers
added a left over piece of paper lace, a ticket, and a 50 cent vintage label
oh and some creamy white seam binding and that's it...but she came out
dreamy, I think...

This card wroks for this weeks
SHABBY TEA ROOM challenge - VINTAGE HALLOWEEN
CREATIVE COTTAGE challenge - BLING (sparkly pumpkin)
CREATIVE BELLI challenge - numbers
BABY BUD DESIGNS - halloween

Love making Halloween cards - need to make lots more.

Feeling a little under the weather so I am off to bed.

Simple

Sometimes simple is best...
in this case I think the image says it all.
the stamp is by inka-dinkado
added some paper lace and a simple sentiment (by cosmo cricket)
some bling and that's it...

I love it.

An Idea 4 you

If you are in need of a different use for your
rubber stamps then here is an easy one.
Just use some mini shipping tags and tea stained them or
Glitter mist them - let them dry and then stamp away.
(These stamps are by Cosmo Cricket)...
They make super cool little tags to add to your gift bags or to
candy treats you plan on gifting to teachers
Perhaps even use something similar to these as
price tags for you handmade goodies...

Just an idea
...I have these listed in my ebay shop...

Hope your weekend was stupendous..

Blue Christmas

Another fun gift set challenge over at the CSAYL blog this week
we were to make a gift bag and card? (u-hemmm)
Anyway, I have been thinking about using turquoise, lime green and pink more for my
Christmas projects this year. Here is my first move in that direction.
This paper is by the awesome Anna Griffin and I followed the tutorial
on the CSAYL blog and it was pretty easy to get done...
the stamps are from the 1.00 spot at Michael's
oh and check out the super cool glitterfied flowers from Prima
in the clearance section I might add...Love the clearance aisle in
any craft store...

Not sure about you but I dig this color combo
It's chic and updated...so not like me but hey at least
my art IS!

Ok. I just have to share some good news here on the
home front...My Birthday boy (19 y.o)
just got his first REAL job and at
BATH AND BODY WORKS
no less...could it get any better for a hormone driven strapping
young man...watch out ladies...heehee

o.k. well I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
