Blue Christmas

O.K. so this weeks challenge over on the CSAYL blog was a sketch
challenge. I kept this card super simple - actually truth be told
I forgot this week was a sketch challenge so I had to whip this baby up
last minute. I hate when life gets so hectic that I can't even keep up with 1 weekly
duty. ENough of the excuses...
I truly hope you have time to play along this week with us over at the
CSAYL blog - you may be a guest designer - and not to mention
get some Christmas cards done...
Bonus times 2...

Oh and works in the following other challenges:
Tuesday Taggers - Christmas in July
Tuesday Throwdown - Christmas in July

Have a great weekend.

I begin my 40th Birthday celebration tonight with my hubby...will go on all weekend long.

She's so sexy

This cute gal - on the card. She's the sexy one.
I love this image. Added the cute sentiment - 2 seperate stamps
added my glitter pen to the shoes, earrings and bracelet and
the color inspiration came from a challenge blog
and I might add this card works for several challenges

dancing in pajamas - color challenge
digital tuesday - glitter, sparkle, bling

I think this card would work for a girlfriend or a guy.
Dontch'a think?

Well, maybe I made this card simply because I have
MY 40th birthday on the brain...
I turn the big 40 on Monday the 2nd...
I feel like I need a huge all encompassing over-haul.

Did you do anything special for your 40th birthday - for you?
O.k well enough jibber jabber..

Have a great day

Pretty Pink Fairy

Good Wednesday Afternoon to you!
I just had to share this super sweet card I made for the
which is an open challenge - just gotta use
a butterfly or fairy on your card.
I have to admit that this fairy set of stamps is from
a PIXIE tinker bell set of stamps
But these stamps are just so much more fashionable
dare I say older looking then the cutesy TINK herself.
So they work well in all kinds of cards.
especially
for the FLUTTERBY CHALLENGES. {wink}

I used some yummy prima paper and glamified this pixie with lots of PRIMA
flowers. SImple card but wow factor. Yeah?

If you have time why not play along this week.
Have a fun night

Beach Bound

Not me but this little guy is ready to hit the beach.
This cute image is from Squigglefly
and this image made for a super simple card.

Very simple...and since it's a boy card
well I left it very basic...no frills.

I like it. Hope you do too.
I have something cool to share with you soon...
Something I am super excited and thrilled about.

Have a sweet night

Buttons and bows OH MY!

This weeks challenge over on the CSAYL blog was to use buttons and bows with our wonderful digi images by SASSY CHERYL's isn't my card the cutest or should I say isn't the snowman the cutest ever??
I didn't follow the challenge exactly (didn't use buttons) but did add some shine with the rhinestones and added a beefy bow.

This week at Christmas Stampin All Year Long Sassy Cheryl's will be sponsoring our challenge. Come play along in our challenge and you'll have a chance to win a $5 Sassy Cheryl's gift certificate. The challenge this week is "Buttons and Bows". Create a card using ribbons and buttons as your embellishment. The challenge will end on Thursday, July 29th and the winner will be announced on July 30th. Good Luck!

I used white flower soft on the body of the snowman and cut him out and pop dotted him inside and outside of the frame. Cute. ya' think?

Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend
we'll talk soon.

Something Different

I tried to do something different today.
I was inspired by a challenge over at the
to create something other than a card...
I made this cute photo holder/gift card holder using
envelopes.

I used some fun paper and after attaching the envelopes
I covered most of the white up
Made some cute circle cuts into the mats so that
the inner tags could be pulled out easily.

I added these really cute stamps from the GREETING FARM
as focal points and left the inner tags blank for photos
or add some slits to the tags and they can hold some
gift cards...neat idea eh?

Here are the tags pulled out.
Aren't these colors great together?

I have been making sure that my cards lately
work with many challenges and this one works for the following challenges:

abc - challenge - zig zag card (the shape of the card)
all that scraps - anything but a card
creative belli - sketch and anything that moves (the flap)
the sisterhood of crafters - colors challenge (red, white, blue)
creative cottage challenge - touchy feely (tag pulls)

Cool huh?
Hope you have a great day

Friendship

Sweet little bear do-over.

I printed this fun little bear several times and
changed the colors up a little bit added some old satin cream ribbon
couldn't find my seam binding.
If you go back a few posts you'll will see my little bear
in blues and yellows and now here in browns and reds.
Cute eh?

Gosh, it seems that I have strayed away from this sweet
little blog of mine. I have been doing some vacationing and
just seemed to not be able to get in the groove  again.
But I feel refreshed and plan on playing lots more.

Lucky for me this cute card works for several challenges:
paper playtime - flower power
sketch and stash #40 - sketch-supplies

Have a fantastic day!

Bling it

Hey there-let me start off by saying that I have completely stepped
out of my comfort zone on this card.
This weeks challenge over at CSAYL was to add bling or sparkle
I did add that but the colors I chose are so NOT
the norm for Holiday cards.
With that said, I love the way this card came out.
It makes the card look COZY - browns and deep blues
I think it says winter to me afterall.
The sentiment reads:
WINTER GREETINGS

We are being sponsored this week by in style stamps
Please check out their website and stock up on their wonderful
stamps and digis...
If you have a chance join us this week and you just might be the guest designer
for next week...
Don't forget to check out the other DT members fabulous cards
they are sure to dazzle you...

Have a great weekend.

SUmmer Beauty

Good Morning
I am on my way out to celebrate my 40th birthday
I know - weird...My birthday is in 2 weeks but me and my
girlfriends are heading out to Vegas for 2 days to get this
MILESTONE started.
So I thought I would make a birthday card (wink)
I used basic grey and crate paper papers...
I sewed the panels following mercy's sketch this week
and the stamp is by inkado???
I think it is very classy as far as classy cards and ME go.
Lucky for me this card works for the following challenges:

scrap-creations - basic grey and summertime
tuesday throwdown - stitching

I am also going to submit this card to Creative card crew as they are having a DT call right now.
Wouldn't that be the perfect gift - to be part of their DT - keeping my fingers crossed.

Well I hope you have a wonderful weekend
wish me luck in Vegas...

Beary Sweet

I think this summer sun has made me super laxadazical...
I know I have stuff to do and keep reminding myself but can't
bring myself to do it.
I was able to get this "BEARY SWEET" card done tonight.
This was one of my free images I shared awhile back
I have him colored up in several different hues...he is such a sweet
looking little bear.
Do you see the flowers in the bottom left corner?
Those are the new Tim Holtz dies...love love love them.

I made this card for the Flutterby challenge this week which is an open one.
It also works for the following challenges:
one stop craft challenge - monochromatic
sweet stampin challenge - things with wings
tree house stamps - monochromatic
fresh brewed designs - summer time

I hope you all have a fantastic Monday...

Xmas packaging

So sorry I am a day late- however the excuse is fantastic...
I am on vacation and am having good and bad days of internet reception...

This weeks challenge over on the csayl blog was to make a small treat box.
You can view the tutorial link over on our blog and try it out for yourself.

I have to admit - my box didn't come out exactly PERFECT...
I think my cuts were done a little catty wompas...but I got
to thinking. Last year, I bought these really cute cupcake boxes from
Basic grey - to make some sweet treat gift boxes and sell at my craft shows.
They sold like hot cakes and well I think these would be even cuter.
With some kisses or hershey's nuggets...wouldn't these be way sweeter??

Keen Idea i'd say.
well I wish your 4th of july holiday to be a fun and safe one spent eating and drinking with friends or family.

Please stop by the CSAYL blog and check out what the other DT members have created.
SO many ideas.
