Im' jonzen for Joe

Gosh, have I mentioned how much I love my coffee -
sure seems like I have a caffine fix 24/7 eh?
But really what's not to like about something that is dark, rich, chocolatey espresso goodness right? O.k. so even though caffine is my drink of choice I am also in love with these new templates from THE CUTTING CAFE...what fun.
I made this for the Saturday Spotlight weekend challenge which just happens to be CUPPA JOE inspired.
Do you like?
The folder that you buy from the cutting cafe also comes with an envelope to fit the card - cool huh?
It's late here 11:00 p.m. so off to bed with you...sweet dreams my friends

Hey let's get together

Wouldn't that be so great if we could all get together and have a cup of Joe somewhere and just talk and get to know one another??? How fantastic that would be.
Since we are all over the Globe and can't get together I made this card for you instead.
I am not feeling the colors so much-or should I say-love the green and brown but not sure about the copics I chose to color the image in...

Well, they always say - it's the thought that counts.
Wishing you a fabulous Tuesday.

Emboss it Baby

This weeks challenge over on the CSAYL BLOG is to use embossing either wet or dry. SO I went for wet {haha} I made this a really simple card so that this beautiful image really stood out. My idea was to use a different color instead of white to emboss on but I realized that I don't have many embossing colors NO gold or silver - ugh!!! This red stuff is actually glitter stuff...but I like it. Need to stock up on some of the embossing powders in different colors.

I am going to my favorite stamp store today and plan on buying a few new copics and some other goodies and some embossing powder {wink} I'll share more when I get back.

Have a great friday and don't forget to check out the
to see what the rest of the DT came up with. Seriously it's good stuff...don't miss it.

Easter FlutterBy

I love open challenge weeks over on the FlutterBy blog. It makes things a bit less stressful. So this week I figured I better get to making some Easter cards.
This is my first easter card and not to thrilled about it - it's a bit off not sure if it is the colors or perhaps my stamping. But it'll do...
I used my new Stamps of Life - Easter set...I used some sei paper and some seam binding for the bow. I added my cute lil' butterfly ...
Hope your week is going great.

Double Delicious

hey now...boy am I exhausted - took the kids to California Adventure today and I am plum tuckered...is that a sign of old age??? I think it is...afterall I will be 40 in August---ugh!!! did I just admit to that - yes...OMG
Ok so I decided to try out 2 different challenges this week.. oh this old age is giving me some guts and stamina I think..
Over at Saturday Spotlight Challenge we were asked to make a birthday card using our birthstone...so like I said my birthday is this August so in case you can't tell or didn't know - my birthstone is called PERIDOT...it is a light green stone. I have to tell you I love this card - the stamps are by hero arts and the sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michael's, paper is by K & co... ok I also used the sketch for the Mojo Monday sketch this week:
Once again - am in love with the fact that I stayed on point with the sketch.
Yah for me!!!
What'cha been up to?
Have a restful night sleep.

Make it a LARGE

I adore this image from the Greeting Farm which happened to be a free image awhile back...but like I have stated many times before Im SOOOOO not computer savvy so I had trouble reducing the size of this cute lil' chick...
hence the THE MAKE IT A LARGE--- she is so big...but I had more room to color and I love the way this came out.
I colored this with my youngest daughter in mind...
She is a little brut and a girly tomboy so this image was perfect for her.
I plan to make a scrapbook page with this card - it would be great and take up alot of room on a 12 x 12 layout...

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

CSAYL #44---Pottery Barn

This weeks challenge was an inspiration challenge and it was based off a photo from pottery barn...check out the blog for the inspiration photo...
I am not sure if the colors looked muted in the photo or if it was just dark in my room when I was viewing it-so this is my interpretation of the photo...
the colors aren't exactly Christmas-y but I think with this scheme it works.
What do you think?

Don't forget to check out the blog and see what the other DT members created and if you have the time - why not play along...
Have a great weekend.

Flutter By Wednesday goes green

Of course green was thee clor of the day and another free challenge over at FBW except we were to use green - so since I had already posted a St. Patty's Day card - I thought I would go a different direction...and make a card for FRIENDS>>>
The background is lime green polk-a-dot and the strip in the center also has the same green in there and of course I coordinated my Prima flowers with the whole card.
I like it and hope you MY FRIEND do as well...
sleep well.
XO

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

O.k.so after taking a couple days off from blogging - I got a little crafty with it!!!
I started making cards and finishing books and well now I am ready to share some.

This is my howdy hello to you this fine Irish morn'
I made this using some unual colors I know but I totally dig it.
I made this for Saturday Spotlight Challenge - which was to show your slick side (used glossy paper and some drops of ink to create the background for the lips)
and for Maria's Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge #3 - which was to use 3 of something...I used black and the 3 black pearls in three's and scraps of course - hope that works.

I sure hope you have a great St. Patty's Day...
don't forget to wear green xo

Mermaidia

This is mermaidia from the North SUPERLARGE and in charge. I am not a computer genious but sure wish I was. Because I couldn't get this cutie reduced...so here she is in all her glory. I used my dot embosser from cuttlebug and 2 shades of orange card stock and made this orange rosette - which to me seems a bit bulky but I think it adds some depth...and because I wanted to make this look more beachy - I added shells (more bulk) I know.
Most importantly this image is by My Grafico...check them out they have some amazing images...

Finally - CSAYL #43

OMG - I have had a really tough day with my computer and I am just finally able to upload my photos to this darn computer...
anyway,

This weeks challenge over on the CSAYL blog is to make an out of the box (non traditional card) kind of card. I wanted to make a card using my nestabilities but realized that mine aren't that big. SO I used my largest label nestie to make this card not sure if you can tell but this is about 3 by 4 inches tall - small. I wonder if there are larger sizes of these.

As you can tell I used all nesties here 3 sizes to be exact. I like it but wish it was bigger.
If you have a chance stop by the blog and check out the other DT's cards and if you have time why not play along.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Ready for TakeOff

Just had to share my newest mini album....love the way this cute thang came out.
It's in the shape of a rocket ship - I know right?
One of the inside pages - super simple so that photo stands out.
A shot of all the pages spread out.
I LOVE this...

Light Stamping - FBW#100

This weeks flutterby challenge is another free one.
It's is also a special one. Seems this is #100 for Danni over at FlutterBy Wednesday-congrats goes out to her.

So back to my card. I did very light stamping here.
As I was rummaging through my scraps I found the base for this card which is by graphics45
{i think}
and lucky for me it had a butterfly right on the front - so I added the flower image (anna griffin) and just pop dotted it up and tied a ribbon and there you have it...I actually love this card. Love the brown rustic color to this card and just the all around vibe of it.

If you have time stop by and visit Danni's Blog and congratulate her and why not play along this week.
I decided to add these to a couple of other challenges: ooh-la-la - spring
rosiedees- spring
All courtesy of Maria Matter...(thanks)
It's almost the weekend.. cant' wait.

All things Alice

I am sure I am like all folks out there - who can't wait to see the new Alice and Wonderland Movie. I am beyond thrilled - I am fond of Tim Burton's movies and am secretly in love with Johnny Depp {smirk/giggle}...anyway getting back to Alice..
this image is from the greeting farm and is called WONDERLAND.
There are 6 images in the set and can't wait to play with the rest of them...

I stamped a flourish in turquoise blue on the blue base, used another Anna Griffin frame and pop dotted alice...used some new prima flowers, oh and some paper lace over the base and colored the images with my copics.
I have had Alice in my brain now for about a week. Seems anything I make lately has to do with her. Anyway, I love the way this came out - the colors are so bright and the alice and mushroom image are adorable.
Hope you like it.

It's Party Time

My little girl had a party to go to today and I decided to do  bag and matching card for her friend. Here it is.
I used some Stampin Up! stamps that I have barely used and some scraps from the ever growing pile. Colored the images with my copics but used the wrong papers so I do have some smudges...
These girls are totally way to old to represent my girl and her friend but still a cute image.
here is the bag up close - love my new flower.
(I have small pales filled with this size flower in different colors in my etsy shop - just FYI)
Here is my cutie pie with her gift bag. I totally color coordinated her with the packaging.
Funny eh?

Hope you are having a great Monday.

Scrap Happy

I was inspired by the Valentine papers I had out on my work table. This paper is by Anna Griffin and is just so lush... I instantly thought of my four crazy kids and decided I would make a page all about them...
I did lots of sewing on this page. I used my machine to sew on the heart, the arrow and the banner at the top, and along the four photos. Love sewing on my paper craft projects.
I also added my prima flowers and gems for the centers. I made the little banner at the top simply by cutting out small triangles. I added some small circle letters that read:
MOMMY LOVES YOU
The journaling reads:
These guys are growing up and getting them together like this gets harder all the time. I love my kids

Time sure moves quickly. I try to remember to savor these moments and catch them on film but sometimes the moment is so fleeting that I take a mental picture instead. But cant scrap that.
Times can get tough when you have kids - there are so many personalities and so many issues for each one...I just remind myself that it is all worth it and that one day there will be a happy medium - and longer periods without all the headaches...

Stay strong mothers of the world.

Christmas Gift Set #1

ACK!!! is this not the cutest little gift set ever?
Can you tell that I am a proud momma.
This week over at the csayl challenge blog we were asked to create a gift purse and matching card. And here is what I came up with.
Here is the box itself. Now I have to admit - my dimensions were wrong...so I had to fuss with it. just a snip here and there and all was okey dokey.
here is my card inside the gift purse...
.And below is the stamp I used that I just bought on tuesday at 75% off
great purchase eh?
I used some K&Co vintage holiday paper from last year that I never used and my copics to color in the flower - oh and another fun purchase made tuesday was my first jar of
FLOWER SOFT...
I added it to the center of the flower on the card. Cool stuff.

I plan on making more of these - this was easy to do and wouldn't it make a great gift for someone special?

Don't forget to go to the csayl blog and check out the other DT members and if you have time why not submit your own project...

Have a great weekend.

Flutter By Wednesday #99

This weeks flutterby challenge was an inspiration challenge and it was of Tink - well since I have the stamp set that Danni is talking about I decided to use it here and here is my finished card. Super simple and clean. I think I am best at those types of cards. I need to step it up a notch and try to add more depth and dimension...I'll keep trying.

Alright we are off to enjoy a day at DisneyLand with the kids - playing hookie.
Have a fantastic Thursday

Clean and Simple

Hi there -
I have an addiction to buying art supplies. Stamps being one of them. There I said it. That is the first step to admitting you have a problem right????

With that said, I decided to play in this weeks Saturday Spotlight Challenge - which is to create a clean and simple card. So I decided to use my never before INKED PaperTrey Ink button bit stamp set...which I might add I have had for 4 months now...{gasp}
Super cute set - I have a ton of old vintage buttons so I knew this set would be right up my alley.
I think this is as simple and clean as I could get it - there is even a white background. Not sure how I feel about that one but clean and simple was my mission.
I also inked up and added buttons to these other card fronts that I need to add to cards...love when that happens. Cute buttons eh?
Don't forget to try this weeks challenge out if you have a chance...visit the BLOG and check out what their DT has created. Lovely!

have a fabulous Wednesday

Scrappy Sunday

(on Monday)
I decided to make a cute little - oh simple - birthday card using my scraps...I know you have a scrap pile too - probably just as big as mine.... There are days when I want to just try and use my scraps and try to get rid of some of them. Yesterday was one of those days. Truth be told...
I think this is a bit too simple but serves it's purpose. I think what truly overrides the simplicity is the image - those changitos are too sweet..

If today is your birthday
Happy Happy Birthday to you.
Hope your day is superb.
