Forever Friends - Digi Card

Happy Saturday
I hope your holiday was amazing.
This Thanksgiving was bitter sweet for me. It was the first time I celebrated such a day without my MOM. It was tough but I made it through and I think as time goes on it will get easier.
(At least that's what I keep telling myself)
I was feeling a little mushy and sentimental and began to think about how lucky I am to have a great bunch of friends both in person and here in cyber world. I enjoy seeing what you all are up to and hope you like visiting me too. So when I ran across this image from the
I figured I would color her up and share it with all my blogging buddies.
I do treasure you and appreciate you for visiting me.

Flutter By Wednesday - No stamping card

This weeks Flutter By challenge was to use circles with your butterfly...so My main piece is a circle of sorts then I added some other embellishments that are from the same pack of paper and a SPARKLE sticker by Cosmo Cricket...Can you see there - up in the left corner my Butterfly? Not that I was lazy but this card has NO stamping on it what-so-ever...cool anyway eh?
So in keeping with Thanksgiving preparations me and the kids made these
PEPPERMINT CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONES
in a bag - just add water...quick easy and YUMMY...

Here are my pretties getting ready to make a mess...

I wish you a smooth day tomorrow.

Best Friends Vintage card

I just love these vintage image style stamps. I had this image inked and colored in this blue and yellow hue - not sure how it was going to look then when I pulled out the CS scraps - I realized yeah uh huh??? it works. It looks FANTASTIC together - very vintage PICNIC - wouldn't you say? Alot, of the extra goodies - are from Jenni Bowlin...cute eh?
I am sending early blessings your way!
I am sure you are as busy as I am over here trying to make sure I get everything off my list for Thanksgiving dinner - I am having it here with just my hubby and our BIO's (as he call them) our 3 kids together and my daughter's godfather - like an uncle to my kids...so it'll be small but I want it to look big. You get me?
We are having all the fixins and then some - I would love to know what you are making or what you are famous for making in your family... Everyone loves my spinach salad and my lumpy potatoes...I will share the recipe with you tomorrow...
Sweet dreams

Handmade charming gift tags

With the holidays just around the corner - I decided that I needed to cut down on the cost of the little extras and do some things by hand.
So to start how about some more tags - wouldn't these look super sweet on top of a brown wrapped gift with some gingham ribbon or a checked fabric bow. These are mini tags that I have stained in coffee, vanilla and cinnamon (secret family recipe) they are white to start so they take on a lighter brown hue...then I used some turquoise ink to add the cute and simple snowflakes.

These next set of tags are the larger shipping tags - these are fun to dye because they take on a stronger brown rustic hue. DId I mention these smell yummy...There is more room for stamped images on these larger tags...
This is my last set of tags - I used brown ink on these - and I like these the best I think...these would even make a great gift packaged up for a friend or co-worker (someone not so crafty:D)

If you like these and don't want make your own you can pick these up in my etsy shop...
See you soon...

PINK Christmas

Gosh - I know I have used this image before - but I think it is so trendy and chic and well this weeks challenge over at THREE CLOVERS was to make a Christmas card using NO green or red...and well - none here!!!
The cool thing about this card is that the pink piece with the bow on it actually comes out so you could a secret message or some cash or a gift card in there.
That was my idea...love it when I get ideas that work...
What do you think?

Fluuter By #84 - wednesday on Thursday

Hi there - So this was an open week challenge over at Danni's blog for the
Again, I haven't found many butterfly or fairy stamps that I like so I have used this image before...but never in this color scheme or this type of card...and can I say
I LOVE IT!!!!
I wasn't liking the salmon colored base but then found the striped scrap piece and wah-lah IT SEEMED TO FALL INTO PLACE.
I thought about coloring in the butterfly but decided to leave it.
Oh, and can I say that I have never used gems like I have here (I am very stingy with them). I usually use them as accents but today I used the Heidi Swapp rows of gems and I LOVE them. Makes a difference eh?
What do you think?
Don't forget to stop by Danni's Blog and upload your card too...

Happy Girl makes for a Happy Snowman/PAY IT FORWARD

Another fun image from SQUIGGLEFLY and loved this guy however, it was much taller than my card base. Instead of double matting the image I just inked the edges to give it a matted LOOK - That snowflake punch is MARTHA STEWART...I wanted to add some ribbon but didn't want to cover up the snowy house on the hill - but I think it need it. What do you think?
Also, look at what the lovely HOLLY over at GIRLS at Heart sent me - it was a pay it forward gift. It is a gourd or pumpkin that she painted white and added some cute rik rac ribbon to it - perfect for the holidays....Thanks Holly - love it!!!
Now it's my turn. Leave me a comment here and I will pick one lucky gal to get a
PAY IT FORWARD
gift to - and you just do the same in return...sound good? Sweet dreams
XO

Hi there - my computer is under seige!!!!

I am trying to upload some really cool photos of a new card and a PAY IT FORWARD gift I received but Blogger won't allow me to upload my pics...anyone else having this trouble???

SNR color challenge SFCC #11 Shy Bear

I made this super cute shy bear card for the Squigglefly Color Challenge this week. I love this little guy - doesn't it look so fuzzy...
What do you think?

I sure hope you had a wonderful weekend. The highlight of my weekend was spending it with my girlfriends this afternoon. We sat, talked and ate and just hung out. It was relaxing and long over due. Do you have a set of friends that you look forward to seeing and just get right back to where you left off. I sure hope you do and that you get to see them often.

Can I just say that I hope one of these days I get to meet you all - wouldn't that be fun? yup I think so!

Happy Birthday album

I have another show on Dec 2nd. and I am busy making more albums - another paper bag album that is in a waterfall style ---
I used some fun and sprinkled with cheer paper - I think it was by Creative Imagination. Added some fun K & Co. 3-d adhesion's and my favorite prima flowers and tah-dah
You have a great little album - while I am suppose to be making these for the show I will be adding them to my etsy shop and we'll see how they go. So if you like it snatch it up because I don't make exact copies. All my albums are originals - One Of A Kind...

I am also making a buco-amount of Christmas cards for the show and well for me if they don't sell. :D
Have a great Saturday - my two little chicks are going to be in a fashion show at Nordstroms tomorrow - so I'll be taking photos and sharing them tomorrow night.

Thankful Butterfly

I am a day late on the Flutter By challenge this week but I had to have it "JUST" right. I am super happy about this one - I love the colors and ohhhh - I am so loving my little 3-d tag...I am giddy over this beauty!
I have used this image before but I don't have too many butterfly or angel stamps so this seems to come in handy (I bought it at Michael's and they are still there)
Went to Michael's last night and went crazy with goodies...love that store. Lot's of yummy Christmas goodies - will share as soon as the projects are done.
Anyway - another bonus is that I am entering this card in the Three Clover's challenge this week also. The theme is bugs or birds - technically not sure if this pretty butterfly is considered a bug but I think it qualifies.
Hope you have a great weekend planned.

Goth Roxy DOUBLE TAKE

Here is another take on GOTH ROXY - I did her in pinks the last time and this time I did her in purples. I love this card - I even made roxy a latina. I colored her skin darker and made her a bit sassier - I added a flower concho and some plaid ribbon and the sentiment I just added a sticker.
Well what do you think? Have a great night - I am feeling a little sluggish - I need to find my mojo not only in my creativity but also in life right now....Send me your good vibes - plz...

Mojo Monday challenge

So this little chick is my inspiration for first of all buying these super cool digi images from the greeting farm and also thought it would work well with this weeks MOJO MONDAY challenge

Here is the cute image from the Greeting Farm called Gothic Roxy cute eh?
Doesn't she look like my funky chick up top?
Anyway, I am really liking these challenges and am having fun submitting...
Hope you are having a great week. I have been fighting insomnia the last 2 days but last night I took some over the counter sleeping pills and my hubby slept with the baby to ensure that I would not be woken up and well I slept - finally and today was a great day. I had so much energy and played with my kids...it's funny how much a good nights sleep really makes or breaks a person's day... duh?

Card Challenge

I thought I would make a card with an "IMPLIED" sentiment - that's the card challenge.
Yeah, I know - my own card challenge however, since I am not super huge not sure who will participate but I thought I would just throw it out there...
I think this could work as a birthday card and a general card for the little girl in all of us.
I got these images from the sweet Danni over at Danni's Dreams...she's a real doll.
I like the colors too but they look really muted or maybe the flash was to bright...
Anyway, have at it...
Happy Wednesday and soon to be Thursday to you all

Christmas card challenge

I thought I would try and enter another sketch challenge and this one was for
Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge #89
Oh and the image I used is from the greeting farm - my first order from them and definitely not my last. This is the Timmy in the Stocking digital stamp image.
I used my favorite colors for Christmas right now - turquoise blue and red...
Hope you like it.
I have been creating some new cards and now have lots to share but will spread it over the next few days.
Hope you had a cool and relaxing Tuesday - it was hotter then heck over here in Southern California - yuck...I wish it was FALL already - oh wait it is...I mean I wish it felt like FALL!
