Traditional Christmas card

This weeks challenge on the CHRISTMAS STAMPIN ALL YEAR LONG blog was to use traditional red and green with a bit of gold or silver.
These aren't the traditional poinsettias but I wanted to use a different stamp to try and make them look like the pretty Christmas flower.

I used my copics to color them in added some stickles for a little glitz and then used my Martha Stewart holly leaf punch to add the leaves and cut out extra flowers and mounted them with foam dots for dimension.
I hope you like it and don't forget to visit the other DT member (on my left side bar) to see all the beauty they created for this challenge. Better yet why not participate and link you card up so we can all take a peek.
Have a great Monday

More paper bag albums

Here are some more photos of the paper bag albums I made for the custom order I got. I am a happy camper - because she said she wanted 4 more by September 7Th and she'd be ordering around 20 more next year... :D
I am thrilled.
Aren't these the cutest pages for a baby girl? They would work for little girls too.

Here is the bridal shower album I made. Not my favorite but it's still cute.

Love the inside more than the cover. Well I hope you enjoyed this small glimpse of the other albums I made. Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.

Been so Busy Making these

I was so lucky to be called on by a gal I met at one of the street fairs I do and she requested 8 paper bag albums ( mini scrapbooks) so for the past few days I have been buzzin around the house busily making these cuties.
The above picture is a group shot of the albums...
The photo above is a NEW HOME ALBUM
I used the sweet CHLOE line by Making Memories

Here are a couple of the inside pages.
The little stickers read: A PLACE TO CALL OUR OWN!
I love these papers - they look vintage-y - I am so proud of all these albums. I will be sharing more pictures of the albums I made over the next few days.
So, Angela if you are stopping by I hope you like them - they are even yummier in person.
Well, I am OUT of tape for my tape gun so no books for awhile...so I get to create - I get to play. Fun times ahead..
Have great evening..

CSAYL challenge #31 - out of the box

This weeks challenge was to make a non-A2 card - and while my card this week is plain I followed the directions. I used 2 separate 4 x 4 scalloped squares and attached them with flowers and a jeweled brad in the corner so it swings out...
The image on the front is simple and I think now looking at here-it needs some glitz...some sparkle...So I think I will go back and fix that up...
Don't forget to check out the other DT members...I have to say this weeks challenge really produced some amazing OUT OF THE BOX cards...gorgeous stuff all the way around...
Have a great MONDAY ya'll

Happy Birthday to a guy

To my uncle to be exact...
I needed to make a card up for him and didn't really have to many masculine themed stamps...but I just bought these clear stamps by INKADINKADO called humorous birthdays...
I plan on making some more using this set of stamps - it's always a good idea to have a plethora of blank cards to cover all the different occasions...wouldn't you agree...

Sweet Baby Scrappy Project

This is a little project I have been working on with my scraps and such. It is a wall hanging or door hanger - it's simple - just used a square piece of chipboard and used some Making Memories papers from their new vintage line (have you seen it at Michaels) love it!
Maybe you are wondering why the big pink lettering - well I know you can't see it well in this photo but the background paper (white with dots) has pink polkies in it...so I thought I would bring out more of the pink. I was going to go more for a boy - but then thought it was more of a girlie thing to hand a sign on the door or wall...maybe I was wrong...
Anyway hope you like it...

Scrapbook Sunday - Brothers

So I thought I would join Noelle and her girls for scrapbook Sunday
I used Jenny Bowlin's newest kit of the month and all her vintage goodies...my layout is not exactly vintage but I think it looks good.

I think they look so good together but I think it so funny to see the age difference between them I wonder what I thinking but I wouldn't change a thing. I love being a girl/MOM because we have every right to be so sappy and so incoherent at times....
Anyway, be sure to check out the other great chicks participating in this sunday LO challenge.

Purse Party Treats

I am having a purse party tonight and some of my girlfriends are coming so as a quick last minute gift I decided to make them mini purses and these purses hold a pack of gum...(perfect thing to throw in your NEW purse eh?)
I have never made my own pattern and this is super basic and actually looks like a pocket book - or check book but it'll do. That red heart tag is from ELLES again - cute stuff all over the place.
Well, I hope you have a great Friday night with your family or best girlfriends.

Basic Grey sugared SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT

DO YOU LOVE BASIC GREY???
Their papers, their embellishments, their stickers - it's all so yummy!
I made this layout with the SUGARED line - most of the flowers here are from their chipboard stickers and their die cut sheets - a few were PRIMA
I kEPT the layout simple - just 1 picture of my sweet girl...

She is a little fish - she loves swimming. The arrow and the letter stickers are all from the same paper pack - I love using kits because everything is so coordinated and you get alot out of one kit...I think I paid around 18-20 dollars for the whole kit.
Anyway, I hope you like it - I have been really busy today creating - and have attempted 2 more challenges - I will post those tomorrow.

challenge Monday

So I thought I would try another challenge - I figure this is my way to try out new techniques and meet some new girls (hopefully)
Anyway this is for the
It is a sketch challenge and while I followed the basics - I didn't do much more - but I think if I had added a bunch more stuff the cute little image would have been lost. I found this cute stamp at a yard sale...for 25 cents...what a bargain and I think you could add just about any sentiment.
Anyway, the kids are all back in school so I am hoping to have some more play time...
Hope you like my card.
Have a great DAY

CSAYL #29 - I'm back

WOW - it feels so good to be creating again.
This weeks challenge was to POP UP a portion of your stamped image.
Can you see the paper pieced and popped up hat and scarf???

Can I tell you that I think I am finally getting a hang of these crazy COPIC markers...
I am thrilled with the way my coloring came out on this card - I have used this image before but my coloring was atrocious - and this time things are more subtle and I love my clouds...oh so CHEERY!
Have a great Monday...gotta get back to some sassy creations...lots to share.

Monday, August 3, 2009

I just had to share this cute layout of my oldest daughter - She had lost a bunch of teeth at once and looked like a jack-o-lantern for a little while. But look close and you can still see that she is just a real CUTIE---

The paper is from a kit - but it is by Cosmo Cricket...and the accessories are all by K & Co...don't they all look well together.
Notice the tag - it is be Elles studio on Etsy...she sells the best tags in a bunch of amazing different colors and styles. Go check it out - they aren't just for scrapbooking - they are for all sorts of yummy projects...

Anyway - I have been in the mood for reminiscing...hope you don't mind
Happy Monday

39 today - ME layout

In honor of my 39th birthday I decided to share a page I made about ME
vain - maybe but I did it for my kids. So they would know all about ME
This is a layout I made about ME - wanted something my kids could look back on and remember ME in different ways with photos to jog their memories.
I added hand stamped words of different personality traits that I think I have.

Super basic page but really shares alot about me.
I think it is important to JOT this stuff down. Because there maybe times where they may forget what it was you were all about. Try a page like this and you'll be amazed at how much of you COMEs OUT!
