CSAYL challenge 19 & a small break

Hello and happy almost Monday morning...So this weeks challenge was to use numbers...and looks like all of us had the same number in mind duh????
Anyway, I am super pleased with this card...I used stickles to accent all over the tree - it's a bit noticeable in the photo...I used black and white ribbon just to break up the red and green traditional look to the card...I even layered my mats - eee haw!!!something new - check me out. As always don't forget to check out my side bar for all the other great cards from the other team members...some really talented ladies out there.
I took a small break this weekend from blogging and let me tell you I think my card proves it was needed. Was so super busy with the kids and family all weekend - didn't even have time to check emails until today...this was taken yesterday at Knott's Berry Farm...where we took all 5 of the kids and surprised them with season passes...they were so happy and can I just say that the place was less then crowded - for a Saturday it was really slow...after 4p.m. we just cruised onto the rides...fun times...but oh so tired today...
Sometimes, I think it is so necessary to re-group and refocus and not worry about having to blog daily...I think in the long run it will really show in your excitement for blogging and the work you are sharing on line...
Well, I hope your weekend was fantastic....sending you sweet dreams.

Tis the Season

It is nearing the end of the school year which means graduation fun begins...
I made this accordion album and dressed it up for a guy - it is really simple and plain...I find it hard to make albums for guys - because you can't add all the FOOF...no flowers or ribbons...I picture this for a high schooler or college guy - thats why it is more tame and classy.

I did make one for a girl and wait till you see the difference...OMG
with all the FOOF - it looks amazing if I do say so myself.

Here it is fanned out - these are great for gifts and would look great on your mantel or on your desk at work. I hope you like it.

Have a great night.
Tina

Big Boy Layout

This sweet layout is of my little guy - HE IS ALMOST 2 - can't believe it. Time sure does fly. My hubby has started calling him the WHITE TORNADO because he is into everything and with such speed...the house always looks like it was hit by a tornado.
The biggest change has been in his look...he looks like a big boy eh? He is also talking so well. He knows when to use the words he is using...really strange but super cool. Most words are so clear and well it is a real treat.

I used a bunch of fun papers with a vintage look from a PAD by K & CO...I used a bunch of pop dots to raise some of the pieces up. Left it a bit simple but I really needed his photos to be the center of attention...and I think I accomplished it.

see the dimension?
Have a great night sleep.

MIA apologies

Hi there - my apologies for not blogging lately...
This card fits my life the past 2 days...but now after the rain I see the rainbow...
can you see it - I made my own cloud template with CS and my scallop punch and just sponged on some ink and I think it came out beautifully.

I think every ones life has days where rain doesn't just fall but pours. This has been the case for me the last 2 days.
My mom has a rare form of bone cancer and I had to take her to the er on Tuesday night and stayed over night with her...we there to check for possible blood clots (due to excessive swelling) good news NO BLOOD CLOTS bad news...she is diabetic and needs a blood transfusion...
here is the RAINBOW...
She was given blood and platelets and started chemo for a second time and all the swelling is gone - she is in great spirits and her planned stay in the hospital till sunday is now reduced to - SHE COMES HOME TOMORROW...thank GOD
So while the past 2 days have been tough and I had my share of rain...the rainbow is the prize - she is better then when she went in...she is back on chemo and she now KNOWS the importance of following the guidelines to staying healthy...it was all worth it.
Sleep well and be happy - LIVE FOR NOW

Debbies color challenge CSAYL

O.k. so this is week 18 - can you believe it?
Look out Christmas card list.
This weeks challenge was a color challenge hosted by Debbie and the colors while I thought odd in the beginning - sage, peach and chocolate...
I think in the end came out sublime.
The colors seemed to be pulling me towards an angelic feel - and vintage...so I used some solid CS and some basic grey paper *my peach* Martha Stewart ribbon, a vintage heart pick and some subway tickets, a pretty angel face and tah-dah I ended up with this card. I am really happy with the look and feel of it.
Don't forget to visit the other dt members and see what they created and of course please join us and try it for yourself.
Have a great Monday...
sleep well

MY FIRST UNITY CARD

I made my first UNITY order recently and finally got them...oh and they are the cutest stamps ever - so much room for you to color - this is one stamp and a great quote!
I colored the whole image with my copic markers (as you can tell I am still figuring them out) but I added all the prima flowers for a huge impact - I think...do you love it?
I sure do! Sleep well and have a great weekend.

I bought some really cute stamps this weekend - on mothers day and this was one of them. Isn't it a cutie? It didn't come with a sentiment so I added the GOOD LUCK. It works well huh? I need to work on my picture taking...or buy another camera.
Hope you like it.

spin off

I made these super cute tags and my quickutz cookie cutters dies and my SU scallop punch - using various stamps I stamped the white circles with different sentiments then added them to the SU scallop punch and finally added them to the quickutz dies for a mini tag - and of course since its all about presentation I put them into a small round tin
CUTE EH?

Here is where the spin off comes to play...I received these bella images from Danni awhile ago and decided to color them in and make a card...I had a few extra tags and well combined the 2 together and came up with this super easy and quick little card.
LOVin' it!!!!

DOn'tcha' love when things come together and something MAGNANIMUS comes of it? Yeah me too.
HAve a great night - have girl scouts and a show to get ready for.
See ya!

Finally a Christmas card...Sparkle baby

Gosh, sometimes uploading photos really sucks...anyway I was having trouble uploading my Christmas card on Sunday so a day late and a dollar short here is my Christmas Stampin All year long card challenge #14
We were challenged with colors this time and let me tell you this was a bit easier to do - this card came together a lot quicker for me then the sketch challenges do.

Gosh my Christmas card stash is getting nice and fat...
I like the colors of this card - totally not the usual...

Girls Night

Have you ever had one of those weeks...compounded with your monthly bill. Where seems that everything is a hassle, your energy seems depleted...and most things are annoying the heck out of you. If you have never had one of these weeks - WOW - let me in on the secret. Please.
In my case, my crappy week comes to end at exactly the right time...tonight me and 2 girls friends are headed to Marietta for another girlfriends birthday and the 3 of us are spending the night - can you believe it? How fun - the cherry on top is that my girlfriend who is driving has a convertible spider...so watch out
SEX AND THE CITY
here we come...
Should be a well needed break for sure.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Come back tomorrow and see my Christmas card for the week.
Hugs and calmness to you.
