The next generation - SPIDER MAN

let me premise this by saying that I think this layout needs something more...can't put my finger on it.
I looked high and low for something to use as a web on this page...I thought hair net but didn't have one - this black web just happens to be one of my daughters fish net gloves (dress up) that was ripped...recycle baby :)
My baby boy just loves spider man - he calls him: spyman - he has pjs, shoes, t-shirts and toys with the super hero on it. Love Him
Hope you like it...let me know what you think.
sweet dreams

scrapping BODY PARTS

Hi - so took a weeks vacation and now trying to get back into the groove. You know how it is when you get back from a trip - the house needs to be tended to, the laundry done and just relaxing...oh yeah and restocking the fridge...anyway- whilst this scrapbook layout may seem a bit odd...I figured how many times do we really sit down and think about something that you really love about yourself...then scrap it???
If you are like me then you know it is not often. I tend to scrapbook about my kids or important occasions but never about JUST me and what better then to choose a body part you love about yourself.
As you can see from this layout
I LOVE MY FEET

I have always loved my toes. I think they are pretty and yes, I think they are my best feature...weird...I think not. Toes are so useful...they are great for getting foot rubs, getting pedi-cures, wearing fabulous flip flops...
Anyway, I used some fun paper and kept the colors simple mainly to keep things coordinated with my feet, of course. Stamped out my title and computer generated my TOP 10 REASONS...
I challenge you to pick your favorite part and scrapbook it...then lets link up to each other and share our parts...hope you play too...

Sketch #9 - so UN-sublime

I am so over these stamps - I so need to buy new ones. I mentioned in many other posts that my stamp collection (especially) my Christmas stamp collection was dismal. Well, this card sure proves it...I am so off the target on this one - no comparison to the other divas in the group...please stop by their blogs and give them a round of applause because them girls are real card makers...

Trust me this doesn't mean I give up just that it's time to buy some new stamps and some new paper...."OH HONEY, I NEED SOME MONEY FOR SOME NEW STAMPS"

I'll KEEP YOU POSTED...

Sweet dreams my scrapping friends.

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY

Wishing you all the happiest of St.Patty's Day - even though it is soon over. But to honor the day I decided to make another page for ETSY. This is a St. Patricks Day layout...I don't really celebrate the day - well we have g-rated fun but no pictures but I wanted to make a layout anyway maybe someone out there will enjoy this and need it in their scrapbooks.
I made this layout to hold 2 photos, double mat and photo corners with brads for each mat. Added some fun stickers, ribbon and some huge petaloo flowers in the center.

Whilest it looks like there is something missing in that there black corner. But I think perhaps you might add something of your own there. It just seemed like too much when I tried to add something...but you might have just the right accent.
Well, I hope you like it.
Have a great slumber.

Altered picture frame

Have you ever tried this?
These are those 1.00 frames from Micheal's - I painted it and added some papers and ephemera and some rubber stamping.
I have done a few with scrapbook papers - will snap shots of those later...but these inexpensive frames make it easy for you to change these frames out and match them up with all the great papers for different occasions which in turn make them quick and easy gifts.
Try it...you'll like it.
Good night...

Upcycled Box Frame

I made this cute frame out of a box of flowers (prima of course) by using the box as is and just covering the box edges with prima paper, adding ribbon around the bottom with a small epoxy sticker that reads "watch me grow" I added a cute photo of my youngest daughter and added some fun little embellishments in the box almost to form a shaker box out of it.
With being green being so hot right now - it pays to take a second look at some of your embellishment packaging and recycle it into something special. You never know what memory you can capture out of something you would have other wise trashed.
Sweet up cycled dreams.

Scary Layout - NOT

Here is a sweet layout I made of my little guy - and YES he is a little monster.
In a good way of course.

I used some sweet little dragon paper and some little boy stickers. He looks so cute that one would think I was making it up when I call him a little monster. But he is a normal little boy, climbing on top of everything, touching all things belonging to daddy and me, pulling things down and taking out every last toy or piece of trash he can get his little hands on. There is no clean house - seriously I would spend my day cleaning ONLY - if I chased him down all day. Yup, I would say that is normal for a soon to be toddler.
One thing I did do differently on this page was I pierced holes all around the dragon - up close it gives it a really cool look - almost stitched. Not sure if you can see it here.
Well, another page done for the little guy - working on getting some of my girls taken care of.
Sweet dreams.

B is for Baby card

I am really working on the layering aspect of card making - not sure but it always seems like too much. So here I let loose a little but it still needs something. I used scraps from my ever growing pile and a making memories flower and some little doo dads I had in my stash - not sure how this would go over in the mail but I think it came out cute...still need to figure out the JUXTAPOSITION thing...
I am not a quitter so I will push on...let me know what you think...truly honesty is key and I would appreciate any and all criticism.
Ga'Night

It's a Spring Thing

Here is a paper bag album that I have made using the yummy line of paper by Cosmo Cricket called Honey Pie. It is definitely an Easter paper kit - so many fun pieces to this kit. I only used a fraction of the pieces...this would work as a fabulous summer time kit/picnic pack as well.

Cute eh? - aren't these papers fun and fresh. Imagine the cards you could make with these.

See that there is one of my paper posies with an Easter journaling spot as the center.

Here are the papers in the kit...all double sided
Here is the 12 x 12 sheet of die cut cutouts...see the Spring theme and the Easter theme... Fun stuff.
Have both of these items listed in my shop - stop by.

BAMBINO daisy d's baby boy album

I love this paper by Daisy D's - too bad they are closing their doors forever. Well, I was lucky enough to grab some of this too sweet baby line of paper called BAMBINO and all the fun embellishments that go with it.
This is a view of one side of the accordion album I made - love the sock monkey accents and images on some of the papers. This is made with a baby boy (newborn) in mind. I have added places for you to add the important birth info. and some jounrlaing spots.

This is the backside of the album - as you can see there is enough space for 12 photos or journaling spots. They are perfect for all the close ups that will be taken in the hospital. These make great gifts for new parents or for grand parents.
Super small and easy to finish.

If you like this it is up in my etsy shop. I also have the product - if you just need it to make your own special projects - then stop by my shop and pick yourself up some. I offer excellent prices and super shipping deals.
Stop by and check it out.

Christmas challenge #7 - DIY

Here is my take on this weeks challenge. It was a DIY sketch. In other words, we made our own sketch. I have never done this before so there is no real thought process in this - I just did what looks good to me. I did add more layers this time and I got my nestabilities - I used them but not in the normal way - besides I made a huge boo-boo and had to cover it up.
I don't have many Christmas stamps so I am really reaching now. So I made the entire card around the the JOY wreath...I hope you like it.
Don't forget to check out the other girls cards and try it for yourself if you like.
Good night..

SPECIAL YOU bohemian scrapbook

Thought I would share a new album I just completed. I used some new bohemian style paper by K & Co - I just love these papers. They are a perfect blend of colors with great scrolls and flower patterns.

Aren't these colors amazing...

The accents and embellishments that go with the set of papers are AMAZING...I bought my stuff at Micheal's - with my 40% off coupon...I only shop with those coupons...but I get great stuff.
Gosh - just so gypsy-ish...dont'cha think?
Hope you like it.
Sweet dreams

Bubble Boy Layout

This is my little guys most favorite time of the day. BATH TIME...it's daddy's job to bathe him - which means fun times and itty bitty pruned up fingers due to long baths. See if I was bathing him I would be quick - wet, wash, scrub , rinse and out.
Better for him that daddy does it.
I had these super cute sticker sheets that had all things BATH and I wanted to use them on the page but they were so big that I was only able to use a few - and as you can see I used more then 1 photo this time.
I used 2 solid colors of card stock for the base of the page and one solid color for the mats and I added a Rolodex card for the journaling and stapled on some ribbon - super basic but to the point.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this layout = have a fabulous weekend...will post again this weekend.

Love Kitten card

Check it baby - here is a sweet card I through together for my sweetie. I think he deserves it - he's a great guy. He comes home after working all day and changes his clothes and takes over with the kids. Let's me catch up and do things I didn't get to do all day. He is always in a good mood unless he's sick - just eases me - do you know what I mean.
I feel really tired lately and a bit scattered can't focus on ONE thing. I am all over the place. I am hoping to get some sleep this weekend and maybe get back on top of things...I hope you liked my card...Have a relaxful night sleep...and I'll try and do the same.

Nite..

A BdaY card for my Daddy

Back to making cards - in keeping true once again - I made a vintage looking card for my dear old dad. I had this bingo stamp that I hadn't used yet and stamped in red then used a small cabashon and pushed it through highlighting the #6 (dads date of birth of this month) and made a small tag with another stamp I hadn't used yet and stamped out the happy punched it with the starburst punch by martha stewart then added the letter stickers to spell out bday... and daddy at the bottom. Not much foof - since he is a really a guys guy. I think he will love it just cuz its from me.

Hope you enjoyed it. See you later, gater.

Oh yeah the MOJO is in full throttle

Can you feel the MOJO baby? I am absolutely thrilled with the way this came out. I must be honest and tell you that this is NOT what I was going for - I originally wanted the little cat on the blue mat to be shaped like a pocket (jean pocket) well I couldn't get it to work...so after some playing this is what I came out with and I just took the colors of paper used from the cat I colored...again a simple card but I love it.
Hope you do too.
sweet dreams ya'll
