Tag I'M IT! WORLD'S BEST

So my sweet friend...Doreen - decided to tag me and seems I am to post my 6th photo from the 6th folder on my laptop - well my 6th folder was a video of my sons haircut - so I went to the 7th photo of the 7th folder and I am super happy with this PICTURE.
My 2 most favorite men in the entire world...
My hubby and my cutie patootie
So now you see where my kids get their looks from - so the question of ARE YOU THE NANNY? can now be dropped...the kids look like their DAD.
And thank God for that.
Happy Saturday all.
Come back later for a new card sketch and for a scrapbook page of my oldest boy.. bye for now

BABY BOY ACCORDION give away!

Hello - Just thought I would share the baby boy mini scrapbook (accordion style) I made for a give away being held on Giveaway Addicted Mommy so please if you want to play visit her blog and enter...If you are interested in a blank accordion album ready for altering then visit my etsy shop and pick out one for yourself...
The best thing about these little albums are not only are they quick to make but you use so little paper - I mean here I only used 4 different papers and only used 1/2 sheet - so you could easily make 2 books with 4 sheets of paper...that isn't including the scraps I used for the photo mats.

Just so you KNOW my way of doing things...I rarely remember the papers I use - I make these babies in batches so sometimes I don't pay attention but if you ever need specifics then please leave a comment and I will get that info to you ASAP.

Oh and as you will begin to see - I love, LOVE love my prima flowers...can't have enough of these babies...and will add them where ever I can - only added one in this little boy album.

All the embellishments were just a bunch laying around in my stash...because they are all around the same color -(baby blues, yellows, creams) they all worked really well and they don't have to match or be from the same line. Don't ever get hung up on the TOTAL PACKAGE deal that the companies offer...mixing and matching different lines of products work just as well and sometimes don't look so forced. Besides, if you have several lines...it gives you variety and well it works to your benefit...stretch that dollar I always say...

O.k. don't forget to visit the site and enter the giveaway and this baby could be yours...you'll have to scroll down a bit and look for
PRETTYPAPERPOSIES GIVEAWAY...
good luck

Christmas STAMPIN all Year LONG challenge

O.K. so I decided to join a great group of talented card makers called
CHRISTMAS stampin ALL YEAR LONG'
This is my first submission and is for the Jan 26th sketch challenge
I went for the less traditional look of Christmas Cards - truth be told I don't have that many Christmas stamps so I had to make do. But I like it - I think it is quite sophisticated.
Let me know what you think.
Have a great HUMP day...
Lots to do today.
Visit my other blog for a chance to win a Valentine Tussie Mussie no strings just leave a comment. It's through the ONE WORLD ONE HEART project...
Bye for now

One photo one Page layout

Once again I went for the 1 photo layout. It worked out really well since I was really trying to put the focus on my little girl.
I am using basic grey SUGARED paper - which makes for a sweet little girl page

Accented the picture with some coordinating stickers - they were large stickers so on a few of them I added some pop dots and then filled in the spaces with the ever popular and always on hand PRIMA paper flowers
The letter stickers were from the same kit and so was the sticker border and arrow and stickers on the bottom

All I added from my own stash was the tickets (which holds specific details in journaling format) and some brads to the centers of flowers.
Kits like those offered through Basic grey and cosmo cricket are ever so popular and everything you need comes right in the kit...
Check out my etsy store for some great kits by cosmo cricket and prima...
Have a great night...
Have a giveaway to share with you tomorrow...

Scrappy Tuesday

A few days late and a dollar short. You know you are behind with your scrapbooking when you are doing 2007 Christmas layouts in 2009

But I think many of us are in the same boat. Way too many pictures and not enough time.

This layout is of my youngest boy on his 1st Christmas. I have figured lately, that I don't need to scrap a bunch of photos on one single layout to get the message across. One nice photo and great paper and embellishments really does the trick.

I used Making Memories paper and some basic grey stickers (red letters) some large chipboard letters (Marcella K - target clearance) and a vintage Santa greeting card

I tore the sheet music paper and then inked the edges with a green ink? and played with whole sketch for a bit till I found something that worked and covered the whole page without overdoing it. My only journaling is on the little round tag by the tree...date, place and jot - simple and to the point

well I hope this sheds some light on the whole too many pictures to a page idea...and at this rate I will be getting alot of pages finished in no time.

Making a Valentine Chipboard Album

Wanted to share an idea with you - covering and making a Valentine Chipboard book.
Personally I have never made a chipboard album - that was from a store.
Above is the actual book
Below I tried tracing the album shape on the paper I used.
The picture that didn't make it in here was that I actually cut the paper and didn't notice that I had placed the paper upside down. SO if there is a specific pattern make sure you trace it the right side up.
This page is the actual paper pasted into the book. I just used a glue stick - you have better control over the placement and full coverage. I am using basic grey paper SUGARED

Here is a layout that I have completed and finished it with some photo mats and the words you and me. You don't have much room to make larger mats so I just used what worked. I guess you could also put the pictures in without a photo mat. And embellish around the photos.

This is the completed cover of the book and I have some more pages to share but will do that on another post. All the items used are by Basic Grey
Hope you like it.

Sweet dreams and please visit again soon.
